Terms of Service
Version 2026-01-01. When these terms change in a way that matters, you'll be asked to accept the new version before continuing.
ShardBugs Database is an unofficial, fan-made companion site for the ShardBugs TCG. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the official ShardBugs publisher. All card names, art, and other game assets belong to their respective owners and are used here for reference purposes only.
1. What this site is for
The site lets you browse the card database, build and save decks, find stores, track casual and tournament matches, and participate in community events. Some features work without an account; creating an account unlocks saved decks, store organization, match history, and tournament participation.
2. Creating an account
- You can sign in with Google, Discord, email + password, or an email Magic Link. Email/password accounts require a verified email address before they're active.
- You need a unique username, separate from your login method. Impersonating another person or an official store is not allowed.
- You must affirmatively confirm you are 13 or older to create an account. We only store that confirmation and when you gave it — not your date of birth. If you're under 13, you can still play as a guest at physical tournaments without creating an account.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Saved decks and content you submit
Decks you save, store profiles you manage, and match results you confirm are your content, but you grant us the ability to store, display, and process them as needed to run the site (for example, showing your public decks on your profile, or computing win/loss statistics). Saving a deck is always an explicit action — nothing is uploaded automatically. Server-side validation may reject decks that don't follow current game rules.
4. Stores and tournaments
Store organizations are validated manually before they go live. Submitting false information about a store (identity, contact details, or ownership) may result in suspension or removal. Store owners and staff are responsible for running fair tournaments; platform staff may intervene when results are disputed or rules are broken.
5. Acceptable use
- Don't try to access another user's private data or account.
- Don't automate abusive traffic against the site or its email delivery.
- Don't submit false store, match, or identity information.
- Don't use the quote-request feature to harass or spam stores.
We may suspend or remove accounts, decks, store profiles, or tournament access that violate these terms.
6. No payments, no warranty
This is a free, community-run project. There is no purchase, order, or payment flow anywhere on the site — quote requests only send an email to a store, they don't process transactions. The site is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, and may be paused or degraded (for example, when a free-tier service quota is reached) without notice.
7. Your data
See the Privacy Policy for what we collect, why, and how to export, correct, or delete it.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site evolves. Material changes require you to accept the new version before continuing to use account features; your previously accepted version stays on record.
